It had been my 16 year dream to see the beautiful picturesque landscapes and seascapes seen in the lord of the rings films come to life with a trip to New Zealand. When planning the trip we had a number of options and I am so glad that we went with First Light Travel. We both have busy jobs and though we are pretty informed travelers and got a lot of tips from books, web, New Zealand locals and more we still needed help to make best use of our time. First Light Travel helped us with everything from brainstorming/suggesting ideas to booking hotels/tickets/flights/car. 

Our travel agent was prompt to respond, attentive to detail, friendly and knowledgeable each time that we contacted them. We kept continuously saying to ourselves how did they stretch both the money and the time we had available to fit this much in. One of the best testimonials to our experience is that we said we liked wineries, even when things had to be adjusted b/c of road closures First Light Travel found an absolutely amazing wine vineyard with rentals that we stayed overnight at that was one of the highlights of our trip.

I would recommend First Light Travel to a new comer to New Zealand or someone interested in trying something different, they made travel both easy and fun.

Thank you for your e-mail and sorry for my late reply as only today I feel like a normal person after having some bad jetlag and trying to deal with loads of e-mails that appeared here during my vacation. I want to thank you SO MUCH for making my dream come true! It was really above of anything I imagined before. I definitely want to come back to this wonderful country and dig deeper into the history there. My trip schedule organized by you was just perfect! I only wish I would have had more information about the prices in NZ for a solo traveler before starting to organize my trip in order to be more realistic about the planning, as I must admit - it is one of the most expensive countries I visited (maybe Moscow, Singapore and Norway could be in the line), and I have visited 45 countries so far, then probably I would afford myself something more in terms of some accommodations. But it was worth every dollar spent and more! And guess what - while I was affording myself this luxury of 3 weeks vacation (I have never in my life have had such long vacation before), my boss has increased my salary! So it's not true, that you can t have everything.

Once again - thank you so much for letting me have the time of my life!

What a delightful holiday. Our travels were wonderful and Todd & I could not have been more pleased. He wants to move to New Zealand. Of course, just spending so much time with my son who I've not seen since August was very special. The accommodations were all very good with the only glitches being the Belle Vista motel and the unfortunate cancellation of our flight to Milford Sound due to weather conditions. We fell in love with Queenstown. All the vendors you used were terrific. Though we had many hours of driving, the scenic beauty made it worthwhile and I don't think I would change a thing. Thanks for all of your assistance. It was a special treat to meet you as well. I will definitely refer friends to you and encourage them to travel to your marvelous country.
