Broome Courthouse Markets
The Broome Courthouse Markets, held in the historic Courthouse Gardens, draws local producers from all over the region who offer high-quality food, local arts and crafts, and everything in between.
Established 25 years ago by a small group of locals, this popular market has grown to become one of Broome’s main attractions and the largest market in the Kimberley region. During the busiest part of the season, you’ll find over 100 stalls packed with fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, homewares, leather goods, and second-hand books.
Broome Courthouse Markets are open every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm and on Sundays between Easter and the last weekend of the October school holidays.
Broome Thursday Night Markets
Held at the spectacular Town Beach Reserve between mid-May and mid-October, Broome’s Thursday Night Market is a vibrant platform for designers, specialty producers, and traders from the Kimberley region. Enjoy delicious Broome cuisine as local musicians provide live entertainment for a fun night out.
Staircase to the Moon Night Market
The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon that occurs when a full moon rises over the exposed tidal flats of Roebuck Bay. For two nights every month from April to October, you can partake in local entertainment and enjoy mouth-watering delicacies as you wander around the colourful stalls at Town Beach Reserve.
Derby CWA Community Market
The CWA Community Market dates all the way back to 1989. Broome resident Mrs Margaret Heseltine was looking for a way to sell produce during winter and when the local council refused her request to establish a weekly market, she decided to set up two stalls on the grounds of the Country Woman's Association. Although much of the focus is still on local produce, there are also food stalls and live entertainment.
The market is held on Clarendon Street in Derby, a two-hour scenic drive from Broome. The season runs from February to December, when the market is open every Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm.
