James Price Point
James Price Point on the Dampier Peninsula, an hour’s drive north of Broome, is one of the world’s most pristine coastlines, known for its towering red cliffs and abundant wildlife. April is also the best time to see tracks of dinosaurs from the Cretaceous period, including the largest known dinosaur footprint in the world.
Staircase to the Moon
This unique natural phenomenon occurs when a full moon rises and reflects on the exposed mudflats of Roebuck Bay south of Broome, creating an illusion of a staircase. Don’t miss Staircase to the Moon Markets, held in Town Beach between April and October and offering everything from local food to arts and crafts and live entertainment.

The World Heritage listed Purnululu National Park, also known as the Bungle Bungles, is one of the most fascinating geological landmarks in Western Australia.
