Established in 2002, the Margaret River Farmers’ Market has been connecting the community with fresh, seasonal food directly from the people who grow and produce it. Awarded the 2018 Delicious Awards Most Outstanding Farmers' Market in Australia, a visit to this market is a must for your tastebuds.

You'll find a wide array of products, from organic fruits and vegetables to homemade jams, cheeses, and baked goods. There are also a few unique items to hunt out as you wander around, like oyster mushrooms from Margaret River Mushrooms WA, delicious kombucha from Alewife, and gourmet truffles from MR Gourmet Truffles (yum!).

The Shed Market

Chris and Donna founded the Shed Market after a trip to South Africa where they visited an Earth Food Fair Market in Cape Town and were inspired by the “intimate community connections, the scrumptious gourmet produce and the enterprising small business folk”.

They love all things food: talking about it, buying it, cooking it, eating it and most importantly sharing it! These markets aim to play a crucial role in improving health and wellness from the ground up, educating the public about the importance of local produce and sustainable practices. 

At The Shed Markets, you can expect to find a wide array of products and services, all locally sourced and produced. Make sure you arrive nice and hungry and beeline straight for Eat Street where you can sample a delicious feast with Burgerbones or grab a fresh juice from Raw Life. Also, be on the lookout for their pop-up craft markets that are well worth a visit.

Busselton Community Garden Market

Where: Busselton Community Garden, 48/50 Strelly St, Busselton WA

Busselton Community Garden is a thriving green space that brings the community together through gardening. Locals can come together to grow plants, share gardening tips, and enjoy the fruits of their labour. The Busselton Community Garden Markets showcases the best of this local produce. You can shop for fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables through to seedlings and plants.

Vasse Markets

Where: 8 Kaloorup Rd, Vasse WA

When: 1st & 3rd Saturday of every month

Vasse Markets is one of the oldest markets in WA’s South West, where locals and visitors alike can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, handmade arts and crafts, unique gifts, and delicious food.

Head along to experience a wide range of locally grown produce and handmade items, with more than 75% of the market's stallholders selling what they have grown or made themselves, ensuring that you get the freshest and most authentic products.

Dunsborough Lions Market

Where: 35 Dunsborough Lakes Dr, Dunsborough WA 

When: 4th Saturday of every month

Dunsborough Lions Markets brings together local artisans, growers, and the community. It’s a place where you can find a wide array of items, from fresh fruits and vegetables to jewellery, candles, kids' toys, clothing, speciality foods and cakes, plants, and art.

The market operates on the 4th Saturday of the month, from September to April each year, providing a regular platform for local growers to share their delicious range of produce. The market also features a BBQ run by Lions volunteers, cooking up sausages and bacon and eggs, offering the best value breakfast in town.

Bunbury Area

Boyanup Farmers Market

Where: Boyanup Memorial Park, South Western Highway WA

When: 4th Sunday of the month

Boyanup Farmers Market is the place to sample a wide range of locally grown produce, including fresh fruits and vegetables, goat meat, lamb, and even deliciously fresh seafood. You will also find plenty of new dairy products, such as goat’s milk and cheese, honey and honey products, olives and olive oils, and a variety of nuts.

It’s such a great morning out during your travels, as you enjoy a cup of coffee from one of the nearby vans and indulge in a French pastry or two while you wander around.

These markets are also the perfect place to kickstart your own sustainable garden. There are plenty of stalls selling plants for your garden, including succulents and a variety of herbs. There are also stalls offering compost and other gardening essentials.

There’s also a selection of artisan stalls selling handmade items, including eco-safe products and locally-made skincare. And if you fancy sampling a local drop, you will even find wine tasting available from local wineries.

Bunbury Farmers Market

Where: 2 Vittoria Road Glen Iris, Bunbury WA 

When: Mon-Fri: 7:30am – 6:30pm, Saturday: 7:30am – 5:30pm, Sunday: 8:00am – 5:30pm

Bunbury Farmers Market began in 2003 and has grown into a bustling hub of fresh produce from over 150 local growers. The market is open seven days a week, so no matter when you’re visiting, you will have a chance to wander down and shop for some quality, fresh products.

You’ll find plenty of produce from fresh fruits and vegetables to a selection of made-to-order platters, quiches, salads, and desserts. They even offer fresh sushi! It’s the perfect break from restaurant food while you’re travelling. Got a BBQ at your accommodation? Grab some of their farmed meat and cook up a storm for dinner.

You can also find extra delicacies like handmade pickles, truffle oil and dukkah, dried fruits and nuts, and quince jelly. Cheese lovers can dive into the huge selection of Australian, British, and French cheeses. Enjoy the award-winning double cream brie and Camembert from Kingfisher Creek, delicious Blue Stiltons and Wensleydales from Britain, or perfectly ripened French cheeses like Bleu d’Auvergne, Cremeux d’Argental, and Vacherousse d’Argental. Picnic time!

Nannup Markets

Where: Adam Street Nannup, WA

When: 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month

More than just a farmers’ market, Nannup Markets showcases a vibrant mix of stallholders, fresh food, and local crafts. The market is held fortnightly each month on Saturday from 8.30am - 12.00pm on Brockman Highway in the main street of Nannup.

You can shop all the fresh farm food, including fresh fruit and vegetables, alongside all the locally-made produce, including clothing, jewellery, plants, arts, crafts and collectables. The market offers local artisans and creators a platform to showcase their work, while you can shop the perfect souvenirs to bring home.
