Heritage, Culture, and Cuisine in Launceston
Welcome to Launceston! Dating back to 1806, Launnie (as the locals call it) is a blend of heritage buildings and beautiful landscapes with a vibrant foodie scene. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 2 pm. If you arrive in the city early, why not discover one of the many museums on display? After the meeting, head to the Cataract Gorge, where a First Nations guide will deliver a Welcome to Country ceremony and take you on a cultural tour. The landscape will come to life as you sample bush tucker and hear the history of the Tasmanian Aboriginal people.
