Rotorua & Māori Cultural Experience with Hāngī
This morning head to the heartland of New Zealand’s North Island, Rotorua is host to some of the world’s most incredible geothermal forces. Geysers and clouds of steam are dotted around the city and the unmistakable smell of sulphur gives the city an otherworldly feel.
Visit Te Puia where restless forces boil to the surface in the enchanting, superheated mud pools and hot springs and geysers gush hot steam and water in spectacular fashion. The famous Pohutu Geyser erupts approximately every 20 minutes and bursts reach heights of 30m (100ft). Silica terraces, native bush and birdlife and a wonderful insight into Maori culture and tradition rounds off a fascinating and memorable experience.

Waimangu Geothermal Walk and Lake Cruise
This is a great half-day geothermal and nature experience, beginning with a walking tour along the Waimangu Volcanic Valley Crater walkway (this is mainly downhill and flat). There are shuttle buses to transfer from the valley to the Lake Rotomahana Boat Cruise.
Enjoy the 45-minute cruise voyaging around the beautiful lake. This is a protected Wildlife Refuge and scenic reserve. Allow 3 hours for the walk and boat cruise.

Fly to Blenheim and Drive to Kaikoura
Today you will fly across the Cook Strait which connects New Zealand’s North and South Islands landing in the heart of Marlborough Wine Country. Collect your car and travel past rows of premium vineyards before the dramatic coast and mountains come in to view.

The vines will keep you company as you reach the headlands of the East Coast. Whale Watching Scenic Flight
For a birds-eye view of giant humpback and the mighty sperm whale, go whale watching....by aeroplane! It's the best way to view whales and Kaikouras mighty mountains and in a typical 30-minute flight you will see the majestic sperm whale getting ready for his next dive. Pods of up to 500 Dusky Dolphins playfully swimming are often spotted. Sightings can include the southern right, humpback, fin, sei, brydes, pilot, southern bottlenose, and blue. Taveuni is called the ‘Garden Isle’ for good reason. With the Bouma National Heritage Park making up more than a third of the island, the Somosomo Strait on its northern shore and an extensive marine park at Waitabu –Taveuni is the place to go if you want to lose yourself in nature.
Activities here are mostly nature-based. Cool off under a waterfall in the heart of the jungle or take a dip beneath the waves at world-famous dive sites like Eel Reef and the Great White Wall in the Somosomo Strait.

Taveuni Island - Cannibal Cave Tour
Adventure to the Naihehe (Lost) Cave - the fortress of Fiji’s last cannibal tribes!
The Cannibal Cave Tour has it all - raw history, river rafting, off-road trekking and real Fiji village life experience. Take a few hours to experience Fiji you won’t see from your resort.
You’ll be welcomed with a traditional Kava ceremony and a historical overview of the cave from your guide, followed by a tour of Sautabu Village. Then the real fun begins! After being taken to the river bank you’ll Bilibili raft across the river (5-15 minutes), then take an off-road ride to the cave (15-20 minutes of serious fun!). Once inside the cave you’ll spend 30-45 minutes learning about the story of the cannibal tribes who inhabited it. The cave is comfortable, with plenty of fresh air and easy access.

Taveuni Day in the Rainforest Walk
The “Garden Island” is arguably the best Fiji island for walkers and hikers! Home to the Bouma National Heritage Park, Taveuni holds a vast network of trails with options for self-guided walks and walks with local guides.
Transfer to Nobroboo Farm for a guided trip along one of the most scenic rainforest trails in Taveuni. Your guide will educate you on the fauna in the area and of the traditional uses and names of the flora. Ideal for bird watchers! After a 4 hour adventure tour trek, refresh yourself in the crystal waters, snorkel with a multitude of fish, and enjoy a light lunch.
